SECRET BALLOT ENDS THIS WEEK

... download the circular here

(30 November 2009) The secret ballot for protected industrial action closes THIS FRIDAY 4 December at 10am.

Any ballot papers received by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) office after this time and date won’t be counted.

Post knows this is a powerful vote – you can see this by their ballot spending spree.

First they spent a truckload of cash on high-priced lawyers to deny you your vote. Now, Post is still spending in a campaign to scare you out of your rights via its countless posters and direct mail letters to members.

Meanwhile, they tell us they can’t afford to protect your security, safety and pay!

Frankly if all these managers spent more time meeting with the union to sort out this EBA, instead of running dodgy scare campaigns, we would probably be closer to agreement.  But as always, Post’s priorities are all wrong.

You can rely on the CEPU to keep you up to date on the REAL facts of this campaign.  Let Post know that their high cost campaign isn’t fooling you.

If you haven’t already voted, please do the following immediately;

  1. VOTE YES – IN ALL THREE BOXES – for protected industrial action
  2. Remember this is a secret ballot - place your own completed ballot in the declaration envelope and YOU MUST sign the back of the envelope
  3. Place the declaration envelope inside the return reply paid envelope
  4. Mail your ballot to the AEC – STRAIGHT AWAY

Senior management only care about their bottom line to help inflate their executive bonuses, regardless of the cost to workers. They know that protected industrial action will hurt them - not you or the customer.
